- Lansing Broadcasting Co. building housed several businesses in addition to their WILS-AM radio station: Verra-Kleen Cleaners, and Baucom Barber; all used 407 as their address. Next, the Dura-Chrome Dinette Co. was at 417. Michigan Liquor Control Commission Retail and Wholesale Store was at 417. A&P grocery completed the block at 425. - Located on northeast corner of Washington Avenue North and Ottawa Street East. The Senate Grill is on the corner at 200, perhaps out of business at the time of the photo. The entry to Rich's Bar is seen, it was upstairs at #200 1/2. The PX Mart selling general merchandise was at 202 North Washington Avenue. Upstairs in Room 16 of the Dodge building was the F. J. Pliska Music Shop. City Planning Division staff annotated the photo and trimmed it.

Next is the Lansing Woman's Club building with first-floor occupant First Church of Christ Scientist Reading Room. Michigan Millers Mutual Fire Insurance Company building is next with its first floor occupant, People's Finance Service. The last building in the block was known as the Cahill Building at the time of the photograph. The Cahill Building actually had 200 North Capitol Avenue as its address.
