The parking attendant booth is at Washtenaw Street end of the 200 block of South Washington Avenue, it was removed in 1989. Although the J. C. Penney department store building can been seen, no other stores are identifiable in the photo and it is unlikely that Penney's was still in operation at the time of the photo.
