- Located on West Michigan Avenue. Lansing's first area mail carier was Bert N. La Du, October 2, 1899. He went by horse and buggy and his route took him twenty-two miles. Out Saginaw to M-100, then back to Grand Ledge Corners, south to St. Joseph Street and back into the city. Information from Heleln Grainger.

- The Richardsonian Romanesque former Federal Building and Post Office, later used as a City Hall annex. It was built in 1894. Surrounding it are the new City Hall and police annex at the corner of Michigan and Capitol avenues. The picture was likely taken just prior to demolition in 1958. Two copies. Originally part of the Carl Dalrymple Collection.
