- An unidentified man in a top hat and a long coat, with a Lansing Centennial souvenir ribbon at his collar and a centennial button on his lapel. Behind him can be seen part of the S. G. Kresge store and City Hall (in the process of being dismantled). A kiosk with advertising for the College Rexall Drugs in East Lansing is also visible; there was a branch of this drug store chain on South Washington Street in downtown Lansing as well. The photograph was taken from the Hotel Downey at the southwest corner of South Washington and Washtenaw streets looking to the north.
