- Located at 113 South Washington Avenue. Nationally-recognized architect George Nelson had previously designed shop interiors for Liebermann's elsewhere in Lansing. This is the only example of an entire retail space designed by Nelson; it was completed in 1964 in a space formerly occupied by Mills Dry Goods.

"The first Oldsmobile built by the Olds Motor Vehicle Company, organized in 1897, was the 'horseless carriage' turned out that same year. it was produced in a tiny shop on River Street in Lansing, Michigan, and was the predecessor to millions of Oldsmobiles which since have been manufactured in the vast plants of what is now the Oldsmobile Division of General Motors Corporation. It is now permanently housed in the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C., as an example of early automotive pioneering."

According to a descendant of the Nico family, the person in white at the curb is Peter Nico and the photograph was taken on a 4th of July sometime in the 1930s. Peter is cleaning out a hole at the curb to place an American flag there (which can be seen leaning against the awning). The Nico family lived above the store at this time. Two copies. - A portrait of Alton J. Hager, extracted from an unidentified publication. Hager was president and general manager of the Hager-Cove Lumber Company, and held many other business roles in Lansing, including the establishment of the local airport. He also served as president of the Lansing Chamber of Commerce, 1928-1929.
