There are trees in the distance and the sky is a clear light blue. The back of the postcard has no handwriting and the typed description on the lower left side reads: "Lake Michigan. Southwestern Michigan. Beautiful Lake Michigan with its miles of excellent beaches offers the summer visitors fun and relaxation. Plan to spend your vacation in Southwestern Michigan."

- Notecard advertisement for Jann's Guesthouse Bed and Breakfast featuring their rates of stay, origin in 1879, and location adjacent to 'Round the Corner Ice Cream Shoppe. In the bottom right hand corner of the advertisement are the names "Bill and Joyce Jann" and in the lefthand side there is the address of the location: 132 Mason Street Saugatuck, Michigan 49453. Phone (616) 857-8851. The pamphlet has the rates of stay listed on the interior and at the bottom there is a message describing the establishment.

- Series of four postcards highlighting the natural beauty found in Saugatuck-Douglas, Michigan. The postcards feature the Big Pavilion on the riverfront, the Saugatuck Country Club, a yacht approaching the Saugatuck harbor, and Lake Shore Drive in Douglas, Michigan. All of the postcards are drawings with saturated and vibrant colors. The pictures are primarily of greenery and areas along the water. Circa 1955.

- Volume ninety-six and issue thirty-one of the community newspaper, The Commercial Record, serving Saugatuck-Douglas since 1869. The newspaper is dated ast Thursday, July 30, 1964 and has a variety of articles covering the winners of Venetian Events from the Festival of the same name. Events highlighted are related to automobiles and parade winners. Additionally, articles cover an ice cream social, a closing of public swimming pools, as welll as dead alewives littering the shores of Lake Michigan. Additionally, there are a variety of advertisements surrounding the articles, the biggest of which is one for The Blue Tempo. Articles cover the Venetian Festival and growing crowds, the opening of "My Fair Lady" at the Barn Theatre, the near completion of Douglas School, an opening of a Church Arts Show, stringent rules for Labor Day Weekend proposed by citizens, the opening of the I-96 Freeway, as well as the hosting of the Michigan PGA Tourney by the Hamilton Lake Golf Club. The advertisements cover The Blue Tempo Jazz Club, E.R. Launderette, Furniture, and the Forest Grove Mill.
