- Circa 1970s. Construction on the Meyer and Anna Prentis Bldg and Helen L. DeRoy Lecture Hall began in June 1962 and the $2,323,000 building was completed in November 1963. Designed by Minoru Yamasaki and Associates, the Prentis Bldg fronts on Cass Avenue and is a 3 stories structure with a unique first floor arcade and garden courtyard access to Helen L. DeRoy Hall, a lecture facility about 75 ft to the west. DeRoy Hall seats 700 students. Date on photo July 12,1967

The heart of the mid-city campus is the Memorial Mall, which includes the Helen L. DeRoy Hall and Anna Prentis Bldg. A moat surrounds DeRoy Hall, adding to the beauty of the buildings and the landscaping. Minoru Yamasaki and Associates Architects. 1965. The pleasant temple auditorium, dressed in a suggestive Gothic pattern, is surrounded by a moat and linked to the gateway building by an underground passage. Date on photo May 19,1964.
