- Book that was presented to Annette "Nettie" Henry Alger upon her marriage to Russell Alger containing advice for newlyweds written by William M. Thayer, and published by John P. Jewett & Company, of Cleveland, Ohio. The book contains four chapters, "The Pastor's Address," "Duties of Conjugal Relation," "Dedication of Home," "Last Words to Bridal Pair, as well as a section of poetry. A handwritten inscription within reads: Dear Nettie, May your life be bright as the sunshine that ushers in your bridal day. Truly your friend, Sarah B.C, Greeley The book also contains a certificate which has been filled out in pencil: This certifies that Russell A. Alger and Nettie A. Henry were united in Marriage by me, according to the Laws of the State og Michigan at Grand Rapids, April 2nd, 1860. Rev. J.S. Whaley[?] The book is bound in a off-white cover with embossed scrollwork on the cover, some in gold.

The card is white with black script text and an embossed gold presidential seal at the top. The envelope is addressed to "Senator and Mrs. Alger" with a gold presidential seal on the flap.

- Passport issued to Annette H. Alger by the United States Department of State in 1913. The document is signed by Alger and the then Secretary of State, William Jennings Bryan. It is stamped with the seal of the U.S. Department of State. Text on the upper right corner indicates that the document is good only for two years from the date it was issued. Along the left hand side of the document is a description of Annette H. Alger, including her age, height, eye color, hair color, and complexion. The text of the document reads: "For all to whome these presents shall come, Greeting: I, the undersigned, Secretary of State of the United States of America, hereby request all whom it may concern to permit Annette H. Alger a Citizen of the United States safely and freely to pass, and in case of need to give her all lawful Aid and Protection. Given under my hand and the Seal of the Department of State, at the City of Washington, the 25th day of June in the year 1913, and of the Independence of the United States the one hundred and thirty seventh. W.J. Bryan"

Alger and Annette Alger to attend a reception in celebration of the dedication of the World's Columbian Exposition marking the 400th anniversary of Christopher Columbus' landing in the Americas, held at the Auditorium Chicago on October 19, 1892, "to be tendered to the President, Vice-President, and ex-Presidents of the United States, the Representatives of Foreign Governments, the Governors of the States and Territories and other distinguished guests." The names of George M. Pullman, Marshall Field, Major General Nelson A. Miles, Mayer Hempstead Washburne, and N. K. Fairbank are printed below. A lithograph of Columbus in profile is printed at the top.
