The poster shows a color drawing of a Red Cross nurse who is tending to a group of small children. The artist's last name, "Crisp," can be seen near the center left edge of the drawing. The banner features the images of a Red Cross nurse when her arm outstretched and a group of marching trooper behind her on the left, and the "Greatest Mother in the World" image by Alonzo Foringer, of a giant Red Cross nurse cradling a small wounded soldier in a stretcher.

Created by artist, Gordon Grant, for the purpose of recruiting nurses for the American Red Cross in World War I. The artist's signature, Gordon Grant, located just below red text, is also missing.

The stamps are printed with an image of Liberty holding a torch and shield, below a pattern of mistletoe and the Red Cross symbol. The sheet explains the stamps are a reward for involvement in the organization's Christmas Roll Call, and contains information on tuberculosis, some geared toward dealing with infected soldiers.
