- Color postcard depicting a street view of the Continental Motors Company, flying three American flags. Printed on verso: Continental Motor Mfg. Co., Detroit, The Continental Motor Mfg. Co., is located at Jefferson avenue East and Berzner avenue and can be reached by Jefferson cars marked Grosse Pointe, going East. The Continental is one of the largest of the accessory plants connected with the automobile industry. More than fifty of these plants are located in the vicinity of Detroit, near at hand to the greatest market for their products. This is one of the many reasons why Detroit is called the Auto City. The boat is viewed from its bow. Its keel is installed. An overhead crane is visible in the background. The support beams for the factory's roof are numbered 5 through 19. The first beam is "X4." - Description:
- Black and white photograph taken overlooking work to convert building "B" of the Ford River Rouge Factory Complex from manufacture of Eagle Boats to that of automobiles. The strip at the center of the photo, in one of the inner aisles of the building, has been mostly filled with dirt, with regularly spaced divots left in it. Workers use a ramp to carry wheelbarrows to what appears to be a small motorized cement mixer beside the strip. A pile of wood is in the foreground. One of the building's restrooms is visible on the left. "26788-5-27-19," is printed in the lower right corner of the recto. The photo is mounted on a linen backing.
