- United States Inspectors' License to Pilots certificate, serial number 20641, issued to Charles A. Porter on May 4, 1912, certifying that he is a Special Class Pilot of lake steam vessels of 10 gross tons and under on the fishing grounds of Lake Huron. The certificate is signed by U.S. Local Inspectors of Steam Vessels for the district of Port Huron, Willis W. Stewart, the Inspector of Hulls, and Frank Van Lieu, the Inspector of Boilers. The inspector's signatures are also on the verso along with several other fields reaffirming information on the recto.
