- Certificate of election certifying Hazen S. Pingree's election as Governor of Michigan in 1898. It is affixed with the gold seal of the State of Michigan and red, white, and blue ribbon on the bottom left. The text of the certificate is as follows: "State of Michigan Certificate of Election We the undersigned, State Canvassers, from a careful examination of the Election Returns from all the Counties in the State of Michigan, as received by the Secretary of State do determine, as the result of our investigation, that Hazen S. Pingree has been, by the greatest number of votes, duly elected to the office of Governor of said State for the full term of Two Years from the first day of January, A.D. eighteen hundred and ninety-nine at the General Election holden on the eighth day of November A.D. 1898. Witness our Hands, at Lansing, this fifteenth day of December A.D. 1898. Washington Gardner Secretary of State Geo. A. Steel State Treasurer. Wm. A. French Com'r State Land Office. State of Michigan Office of the Secretary of State. I do hereby Certify, That I have compared the foregoing copy of the determination of the Board of State Canvassers with the original on file in this office, and that it is a correct transcript therefrom, and of the whole of such original. In Testimony Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand, and affixed the Great Seal of the State of Michigan, at Lansing, this sixteenth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-eighth. Watson," is handwritten on the recto, and the Detroit Light Guard insignia, consisting of the letters "DLG" intertwined above a rifle and the text, "organized 1855," are on the flap.

The note includes Pingree's signature and an orange embossed Michigan seal with a blue ribbon. An additional handwritten note states, "This invitation to the famous Pingree banquet reads that it would be in the 'Executive Parlor, Capital,' Finding that the parlor was not large enough it was held in Representative Hall."

- Ribbon-bound program booklet for a dinner in honor of the Legislature, Supreme Court and Railroad Officials given by Governor Hazen S. Pingree, on December 18, 1900 at the State Capitol in Lansing. The cover is printed with images of the Mohawk and Hudson Railway's John Bull, and the Pere Marquette Railroad's Vestibule Limited. The program contains the menu, a list of musical selections to be performed, and an orange seal of the State of Michigan with a blue satin ribbon adhered to the first page. The program was printed by the Winder Printing Company of Detroit.

Pingree and Staff given by the Kalamazoo Light Guard at the Kalamazoo Light Guard Armory on February 26, 1897. Committee members are listed inside the half folded card. The insert lists information about tickets, refreshments, the cloak room, and the schedule.

- Half folded invitation and envelope from the Detroit Light Guard to a Governor's Levee and Military Soirée, held February 12, 1885 at the Princess Rink in honor of Governor Russell A. Alger. The front features a blue lithograph of a uniformed soldier standing beside the text, printed as though on a large seal, and an image of soldiers drilling at camp above. The interior lists the honorary guests, the honorary committee, the reception committee, the floor committee, and the general committee of management. The envelope has "Gov. R.A. Alger," handwritten on the front, and the seat of the Detroit Light Guard on the flap.
