1. Rochester Post Office

Description:
Beginning in 1890, the Rochester Post Office was located in Theodore Dahlmann's Jewelry Store on the left hand side of the photograph. On the right is the Hacker Grocery and Meat Market, operated by Tom Hacker. Tom is one of the gentlemen in a white apron standing in the doorway. This building was on the east side of Main Street between Third and Fourth Streets. (P-229) [date is approximate] Photograph Collection
