- This photograph shows an interior view of the meat market with Hardy Korff (1894-1959). He did all his own butchering and smoking. Korff's was located on the east side of Main Street between Fourth and Fifth Street (University Drive) in the James W. Smith Block. This business was also referred to as the Central Meat Market. - The W.F. Korff Meat Market, or Central Meat Market, was located within the James W. Smith Block on the east side of Main Street. Pictured are Mr. Penniman with a basket and Hardy Korff (1894-1959) in an apron. Mr. Penniman came with his basket to take something home to his wife or dog.
