- Description:
- Woman's white silk charmuese dress with short chiffon sleeves. It has a V-neck that is edged with net, and an ecru lace yoke. The bodice is bloused with a second layer of material bloused to the waist, and heavily trimmed with gold and silver metallic thread, and strings of gold beads. The waist cummerbund lays over the top of a moderately full skirt. An overskirt pannier reaches to the hips, and is trimmed with the same metallic embroidery and gold beads as the bodice. The overskirt is slightly caught up in front by a sash (embroidered with bead fringe). The dress fastens in the back. Label: J. Hock, Detroit. This gown belonged to the donor's mother, Mrs. Hugo Scherer of Detroit.

- Description:
- This is a woman's two piece wool twill suit in dark taupe wool with black silk braid. The jacket has long, straight sleeves, rounded collar, is hip length with a nipped-in waist. It is decorated with a swirling loop and paisley pattern of braid at the center front and jacket hemline. Covered buttons are at its center, and a hook and eye closure continue into the braid pattern at the front points of the jacket. The jacket is lined in crepe, and is labeled at the back of the neck B. Siegel. This unlined skirt is made of dark taupe wool twill. The A-line skirt is mid-calf length with 1 1/2 " waistband . There is a zipper and button closure at the side. It is labeled B. Siegel. The ensemble was purchased by the donor at Siegel's in 1949. It was donated to the B. Siegel Company for its 100th Anniversary celebration.
