- A view of the flooded Grand River looking toward the Michigan Avenue bridge. The flood had taken out the Kalamazoo Street bridge and swept it downstream to where it appears in this photograph. Several faint letters on the front of the photo mat may be the stamp of photographer Fred J. Wagenvoord, who created a souvenir book of similar photographs from the 1904 flood. The mat is also stamped "Foot Allegan S. looking North." On back the name "John Allen" is written in pencil. Gift of Janice Bedford Nagele.
