- Concrete, brick, and other progress on the new Lansing Fire Department Station No. 1. Temporary construction sheds have been erected in the front of the site. The view is from the opposite side of Grand street, looking to the northwest. A fragment of a similar photograph has also been printed on the back cover of the booklet "Lansing Fire Department: Dedicated to the Saving of Life and Property" which was published in approximately 1950. - A view from behind the crowd during the dedication ceremony in front of the new Lansing Fire Department Station No. 1. A marching band is in formation in two sections on Shiawasee and Grand streets. Opposite of the new station, the Paul Fata grocery, the Central Linen and Laundry, another office of the Auto-Owners Insurance Co., and several other businesses can be seen. The view is taken from the west side of Grand Avenue looking to the northeast. Similar photographs appear in the booklet "Lansing Fire Department: Dedicated to the Saving of Life and Property" which was published in approximately 1950.
