- A group of men, presumably medical students, with "Old Doc Naegle" at the University of Michigan Anatomical Laboratory entrance. The building was completed in 1889. The photograph is inscribed on the back by a Dr. Haze, likely Dr. William H. Haze who practiced medicine in Lansing for many years and also served as mayor in 1866.

- On the back of the photograph: "Geo. Cross, Head Custodian after Geo. Hunt left. Died Sept.* '58 under mysterious circumstances." *Cross was found dead in October 1958 in a wooded area of Eaton Rapids, and an autopsy later ruled that his death was due to pneumonia, shock, and exposure. He had been custodian at Walter French Junior High School for 16 years.
