- Color-tinted postcard aerial view looking north, showing wide dirt street lined with sidewalks and trees, a large park with mature trees in near foreground, and buildings in the distance, including Y.M.C.A. building to northwest of park. Church spires can be seen in the middle distance, including Central United Methodist Church as well as horse drawn vehicles on the street. Description on back reads "Woodward Avenue Looking North. This Birdâs Eye view was taken from the corner of Woodward Avenue and Park street and shows Grand Circus Park on both sides. The tall building on the right is the new Y.M.C.A., which was erected in 1908; and the entire cost of same will be in the neighborhood of $700,000.00. This is one of the most complete buildings of its kind in the country and boasts of a gymnasium second to none." (circa 1908)
