- April 12, 1893 Cyclone Damage to Ypsilanti Opera House, this photograph showing its virtual destruction. Remarkably it was the only evening no performance was taking place for weeks so no one was hurt. However, manager Simeon Draper took sick and died a few days later.

- April 12, 1893 Cyclone damage to rear of Ypsilanti's Opera House located on the north side of Congress Street near the corner of Adams Street. Only the front wall remained. The cyclone hit at 7 PM on the only evening for weeks in which no performance was taking place in the building. A seeming casualty was the owner, Simeon Draper, who took sick and died a few days later.
