On the opposite side of South Washington Avenue, Woolworth's at Allegan Street and Knapps at Washtenaw Street are in good focus. Several blocks of South Washington Avenue fill the rest of the image. Bright sunlight and deep shadow characterize the photograph. City Planning Division staff trimmed the photo on one side.
