On the right, Kay's Jewelry and Luggage faces North Washington Avenue. Stores to the east include the Keith Bartow Music Shop, Barker-Fowler Electric Company, Central Car and Truck Rental and VanDevoort Hardware Company - Boat Division. A part of the Ottawa Station of the Lansing Board of Water and Light can be seen behind the stores on the north side of East Ottawa Street.

The block ends with the Tussing building at West Ottawa Street, home of the Palms Theatre at 209 and the College Drugstore at 201. Several small cut-out photos were affixed to this photo by City Planning Division staff who also made the notations.
