- Half-tone print of an artistic rendition of a bird's-eye view of Detroit in 1908, and a black and white photographic print of it hung on a wood-paneled wall. The caption above the image reads, "Detroit 1908-Same Area As View Above." Below the image, "What Detroit has accomplished in the past, is the best evidence of its future prosperity" is printed. The pictured print depicts downtown Detroit, and areas to the west, rough from Fourth Street to Raynor Street, and State Street to the Detroit River. Visible landmarks include the Wayne County Building, Cadillac Square, Campus Martius, the Majestic Building, City Hall, the Pontchartrain Hotel, the Post Office at Fort and Shelby, and the Ford Building. Several steamships, including those of the Detroit and Cleveland Navigation Company, the COLUMBIA, and the LANSDOWNE are pictured at dock or under steam. In view are a moonlight tower, the Majestic Building, Detroit Opera House, and Merrill Fountain. Signs read, "H.C. Weber & Co." and "Benson's Dry Goods". Printed on verso: Bird's Eye View Woodward Avenue North of Michigan Avenue, Detroit, Mich. This Bird's Eye view shows Woodward Avenue the principal business and residence street of Detroit. The large building at the left is the Majestic Building from the roof of which tourists may get a good view of the entire city. The Fountain at the right was a gift to the city from Senator Palmer and wife the cost of which was $20,000.00. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked Aug 4, 1915.

The elevated view looks northward along Woodward Avenue with the Old City Hall and Majestic Building on the left side of the image and Campus Martius and the Soldiers and Sailors Monument to the right. Pedestrians, streetcars, and several horse-drawn carriages are also visible. The Detroit Opera House and Wonderland Vaudeville can be seen in the right background. Handwritten text in the upper right corner shows "6/15/6 - Spent the day here and have been all over the place and Belle Isle Park. It all suits me so will go and leave it. Start again tonight 6:10. B." The date of the postcard is based upon the postmark date.

- Black and white photo of City Hall and the Majestic Building as taken from a window of the Russell House to the southeast. Woodmere, Brush, and Woodward line streetcars are in Campus Martius, including cars 386 and 290. A horse-drawn cart carrying several large potted ferns is on Ford Street beside City Hall's lawn. Several horse-drawn carriages are on Woodward in front of City Hall. A man in a white suit picks up horse droppings in the intersection of Woodward and Ford using a large scoop and a shovel. A moonlight tower stands on the south corner of Woodward and Michigan Avenue. Signs for C.A. Shafer are posted on the side of the Majestic Building. A mimeographed caption is on the verso, along with an impression of a photo of William C. Maybury: This picture was taken in the central business portion of the city of Detroit from a window of a hotel known as the Russell House.. The hotel is situated on the South East corner of Woodward Avenue and Cadillac Square. The photograph is made from a negative taken in the fall of 1900 and is a fairly good representation of exterior photography, at this date. The photograph was made by C.M. Hayes and Co., a firm engaged in general photography.

- Color postcard depicting City Hall and the Majestic Building with a view down Fort Street from Campus Martius. Printed on verso: City Hall and Majestic Building. The business center of Detroit is the Campus Martius, situated at the converging of Lafayette, Monroe, Michigan and Woodward Avenues. It was reserved as a breathing spot in the "Governor and Judges" plan adopted for the city in its early history and has been beautified by a fountain donated by Mrs. Thomas W. Palmer. On it fronts the City Hall, Majestic Building, Detroit and Temple theatres and other prominent factors in the city life. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked 1910.
