- One folio series entitled, "Detroit Illustrated," that was published in 14 parts by H. R. Page & Company of Chicago. This folio, Part Fourteen, has a gray/green paper cover that is printed in brown text. There are nine interior pages which include printed text and sepia-toned photographic images that are entitled as follows: Supt. [Residence], House of Correction House of Correction Residence of Julius Stroh Residence of S. B. Dixon City Hall Residence of Mrs. George H. Hammond Residence of A. - Mounted, sepia-toned photographic print entitled, "Old City Hall, A.D. 1868." Detroit's City Hall which stood at Campus Martius, on Michigan Grand Avenue (now Cadillac Square) is depicted as viewed from Campus Martius facing southeast. Several people stand in front of the building, while several other people sit in the shade on the building's north side. Stalls used for the Central or City Hall Market are visible behind the building. In the background, along Michigan Grand, signs are posted for U.S. Tobacco Works, R.G. Tyler Teas, National Bitter, H.H. Wallace, Ira Shade, Hiram Stanskil, and S.H. Davis and Company. The photo has a rounded top and is mounted to a piece of yellowed cardstock bearing the title and "J. Watson, Artist, Detroit" below.

- Photograph. Black and white photo of 36 members of the Detroit Rambler Club (bicycle club). The members are standing on the steps of the Detroit City Hall with two bicycles (one single and one tandem) along with their club flag. Some of the club members are wearing sweaters that have the same logo that is shown on the club flag. A typewritten label on the verso notes "#6343, Detroit Rambler Club on steps of City Hall in 1896." A white number is handwritten on each member, but no key to their identities is included.

- Black and white photo of City Hall and the Majestic Building as taken from a window of the Russell House to the southeast. Woodmere, Brush, and Woodward line streetcars are in Campus Martius, including cars 386 and 290. A horse-drawn cart carrying several large potted ferns is on Ford Street beside City Hall's lawn. Several horse-drawn carriages are on Woodward in front of City Hall. A man in a white suit picks up horse droppings in the intersection of Woodward and Ford using a large scoop and a shovel. A moonlight tower stands on the south corner of Woodward and Michigan Avenue. Signs for C.A. Shafer are posted on the side of the Majestic Building. A mimeographed caption is on the verso, along with an impression of a photo of William C. Maybury: This picture was taken in the central business portion of the city of Detroit from a window of a hotel known as the Russell House.. The hotel is situated on the South East corner of Woodward Avenue and Cadillac Square. The photograph is made from a negative taken in the fall of 1900 and is a fairly good representation of exterior photography, at this date. The photograph was made by C.M. Hayes and Co., a firm engaged in general photography.

Fort Street can be seen at the far left side of the photo, Woodward Avenue is visible in the foreground, and Michigan Avenue is visible between the Old City Hall and the Majestic Building. The busy street scene on Woodward includes streetcars, horse-drawn wagons, pedestrians, a bicyclist, and a street sweeper. Business names that are visible include "The Home Savings Bank" and "C. A. Shafer." Typewritten text on the verso shows "This picture was taken in the central business portion of the city of Detroit and from the window of a [building?]."

- Sepia-toned photo mounted on a black cabinet card with gold trim bearing an image taken during the 1891 National Encampment of the Grand Army of the Republic in Detroit. The view is across Campus Martius, filled with people and decorated with flags, facing northeast down Monroe Street. In the background, the Detroit Opera House, indicated with a blue "X," is visible. On the other side, stands the Monroe Block. In the foreground, marked with an "O," are the steps to City Hall. Nearby on the right is fountain topped with a statue of a woman. "Detroit Opera House (left X) & square front of City Hall, Detroit. (Taken so ? stand front of City Hall shows O). I went to Detroit Opera House all thru my youth. - Color postcard depicting City Hall and the Majestic Building with a view down Fort Street from Campus Martius. Printed on verso: City Hall and Majestic Building. The business center of Detroit is the Campus Martius, situated at the converging of Lafayette, Monroe, Michigan and Woodward Avenues. It was reserved as a breathing spot in the "Governor and Judges" plan adopted for the city in its early history and has been beautified by a fountain donated by Mrs. Thomas W. Palmer. On it fronts the City Hall, Majestic Building, Detroit and Temple theatres and other prominent factors in the city life. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked 1910.

- Color postcard depicting Cadillac Square, facing west. In view are the Ford Building, Pontchartrain Hotel, City Hall, Gayety Theatre, Gregory Mayer & Thom Co. Building, and many cars parked in the street. Printed on verso: Cadillac Square runs east from Campus Martius to County Building and was named after the founder of Detroit, Antoine Laumet de La Mothe Cadillac. Cadillac chair is located on the West, which was formerly the site of the Old City Hall, built in 1835 and occupied until 1871 as the seat of Civic Authority. Cadillac arrived in Detroit July 24th, 1701. On that day, under the patronage of Louis XIV and protected by the Flag of France, the City of Detroit, then called Fort Pontchartrain, was founded.
