- From the left are seen Cunningham Drugs on the street level of the Prudden Building with its entry off West Michigan Avenue, Archy's Lounge, House of Beef, and Hotel Olds on the south side. On the north side are seen the Bank of Lansing, Western Union, Jury-Rowe and the Lansing Police Headquarters. City Planning Division staff annotated the photo and cut off one corner. - Johnnie's Grill at 224, Plaza Hotel at 222 1/2, Hofbrau Bar at 222, and Granse Dance Studio at 220 North Washington Avenue. City Planning Division staff trimmed the photo. City Planning Division staff trimmed two photographs for assembly into composite views. The images do not match perfectly; gaps have intentionally been left in the composition shown. City Planning Division staff placed sequential numbers at the bottom of each piece: "F30" and "F29".

On West Michigan Avenue, the Prudden building entrance is 109, Archy's Lounge at 111, Sun Life Assurance Co. of Canada and the House of Beef restaurant at 113 are followed by the Hotel Olds at 125 West Michigan Avenue. - Ribbon-bound Russell House Independence Day dinner menu. The cover is red with an color illustration of a man in a long coat and a tricorn hat pulling a vertical rope, presumably to suggest the ringing of a bell. The booklet is bound at the top with red, white, and blue ribbon. A program of musical selection to be performed, is included inside along with the menu.
