- This is a section of a map showing the locations of Arbeitskommandos (Allied labor detachments) in the Kingdom of Saxony. The map is coded to identify agricultural labor, industrial labor, work for the state, and . public interest projects. The map is further delineated identifying the Stammlagern (parent camps) where the prisoners were assigned; in this case, the prison camps at Golzern, Koenigsbrueck, and Chemnitz provided the man power for this labor.

- A Russian POW is about to be lowered into a grave for his final resting place at the prisoner of war cemetery at Koenigsbrueck. The cemetery is lined with fir trees and a priest officiates the service at the foot of the casket. The dead prisoner might have been a Pole as reflected by the Latin cross used in the ceremony.

- French prisoners work on a sand and cement mosaic of Marianne, the symbol of the French republic at the prison camp at Koenigsbrueck. This type of outdoor art work was very popular in the camp. Russian and French prisoners stand around the mosaic for the photograph.

- French prisoners at Koenigsbrueck line up for their lunch of soup. Members of their barrack retrieved the meal from the camp kitchen and distributed the rations in the prison compound. Note the white identity badges on the front of the POW's caps.
