- View from an elevated position showing the blocks closed for parking. From the period when South Washington Street was used as parking lots from Michigan Avenue to Kalamazoo Street. The view also extends to South Grand Avenue and beyond. According to Lansing City Council Proceedings from October 3, 1966, the 100, 200 and 300 blocks of South Washington were to be turned into a Parking Mall starting November 21, 1966. On June 9, 1989, Council ordered that the attended parking operations were to be eliminated.

Stores along the block include: Porter's women's clothing at 105, Liebermann Trunk Company at 107, Lansing Camera Shop at 109, Len's Mens Shop and Parker Jewelry at 111, Mills Dry Goods at 113, Two Legs mens clothing at 115, Dr Scholl Foot Comfort Shop and National Peanut Corp. at 117, a vacancy-formerly Roberts Jewelry at 119, and Morgan Jewelry at 121. - Located on the west side of the 10 block of South Washington Avenue. This branch of Kresge's was at 114 South Washington Avenue. Another branch store of Kresge's was at 216 South Washington Avenue. City Planning Division staff trimmed two photographs for assembly into this composite view. The images do not match perfectly; the photos were taken at different times as shown by the different automobiles showing in each. City Planning Division staff placed sequential numbers at the bottom of each piece: "B11" and "B12".
