On June 9, 1989, Council ordered that the attended parking operations were to be eliminated.

According to a descendant of the Nico family, the person in white at the curb is Peter Nico and the photograph was taken on a 4th of July sometime in the 1930s. Peter is cleaning out a hole at the curb to place an American flag there (which can be seen leaning against the awning). The Nico family lived above the store at this time. Two copies.
