- This is a campaign photo for the father of the Morlock quadruplets, Carl A. Morlock's, first election as Lansing City Constable. Their Uncle John Morlock gave them their haircuts. The quadruplets names are Edna A., Sarah C., Wilma B., and Helen D.

- Children seated at desks while a teacher watches. There were 11 slides in a box labeled "Maplewood-Cherry." Nothing on the individual slides distinguishes which images were taken at which school. Cherry Street School was located in the 400 block of South Cherry Street. Maplewood School was in the 2200 block of South Cedar Street.

- Starting at North Washington Avenue is the Dodge Building with the Senate Grill. Further east is the Trowbridge Manhattan Club tavern. Part of the Ottawa Station of the Lansing Board of Water and Light can be seen further to the east, across North Grand Street. City Planning Division staff annotated the print.
