- Description:
- The Partington Education center was located on Kalamazoo Street between Chestnut and Pine streets. Photos are a part of the "Visual Views of the Elementary Schools in the Lansing School District" project of the Lansing Area Community Resources Workshop in cooperation with Michigan State University. It was compiled by Priscilla L. Shaver who was a teacher at Lewton School. The director was Frances B. Schneider. Each included school has a photo of the school building and playground. The album was created to aid students who were being moved to new schools in the hopes that they could use it to know where their new school was and what it would look like. Priscilla Shaver attended the 1971 Lansing Area Community Resources Workshop to aid in assembling this project.

- Built in 1852 and torn down in 1870. Stood at the spot now occupied by the State Capitol Building. The materials in this building were used to build the Butler block in which McFarland's Drug Store was later located on the northwest corner of Kalamazoo and Washington.

- Description:
- The Arbeiter Unterstutzung Verein (Worker Support Club) Hall located at 608 North Grand Avenue. The society was organized in 1875 and built its first hall in 1882; at one time it had over 500 members. The building in this photograph was dedicated in 1905. The gardens in back were the location for many social events. The society was closed out in 1931 due to lack of younger membership, at the time the last of the viable Michigan Arbeiter societies. It was an insurance organization that provided illness and death benefits, mainly for members of Lansing's German-American community, and also a social organization.

- Located at 220 N. Pennsylvania Ave. On reverse: "Lansing is proud of these facts: a diversification of industries, splendid transportation facilities and the progressive spirit of the community have all been combined to make Michigan's Capital one of the key cities of the nation. It has many acres of beautiful parks. The first house was built in 1843. It was incorporated into a city in 1859. The first railroads were built in 1863."
