Most images are taken looking across Michigan Avenue toward Gladstone's Merchandise Mart (428 E. Michigan Ave.). Several are out of focus. - The Hardware Merchants float with four pageant queens representing Okemos, Lansing, Haslett, and East Lansing in the Centennial of Transportation Parade on East Michigan Avenue. The Esquire Theater, Murton Opticians, Jim's Cocktail Bar, and Lansing Cafe are all visible in the background. The photo was taken along East Michigan Avenue. - Photograph taken in Detroit on Woodward Avenue, near Grand Circus Park. The vehicle in the center of the photograph was known as "Old Scout" and had made a race with another curved-dash Olds, "Old Steady," from New York to Portland, Oregon, in 1905. The "Atomic Power for Peace" statue in the background was used during the Eisenhower era, dating this photograph to the early 1950s. Two copies.
