- Cabinet card bearing a sepia-toned head-and-shoulder portrait photograph of a ranking Detroit Fire Department firefighter, in profile facing the right. He has a beard and wears a kepi hat with three crossed bugles on its badge, with a double-breasted coat. The photo was previously housed in on the left side of a three-part cardstock frame with alongside a photo of James Battle, and another ranking firefighter. "October 1881," is handwritten on the verso.

- Sepia-toned composite group portrait of the members of the Detroit Fire Department in 1890, composed of 207 separate head-and-shoulder portraits of unidentified firefighters arranged in rows on the right, and, on the left, portraits of Chief James Battle, Assistant Chiefs James R. Elliott and Mark H. Gascoigne, First Battalion Chief John Kendall, Second Battalion Chief James C. Broderick, Third Battalion Chief William J. Gowan, Superintendent of Horses Allan. Armstrong, and Master Mechanic Francis Beaufait, as well as a photo of Detroit Fire Department Headquarters on the northeast corner of Wayne Street and Larned Street. Images of several pieces of firefighting equipment for a design surrounding the portrait of Battle, and the left edge of the image. A.G. - Mounted sepia-toned group portrait photograph of twelve uniformed firefighters posed outside in front of a brick wall. Six men sit in chairs in the front, and six stand behind them. The fifth seated man from the left is identified as Engineer William Mauron[?]. Mauron and the two men to his left all have bugle insignia on their collars indicating their ranks. The photo is mounted on black mat board. "Geo. E. Ash, 452 Junction Ave." is printed on the verso.

- Description:
- Black and white panoramic group portrait of members of the Detroit Curling Club posed on the ice along the shore of Lake St. Clair in Grosse Pointe, taken during a curling event held by Horace Elgin Dodge on January 15, 1916. Forty men stand in the foreground, most holding curling brooms. Several curling stones are scattered among their feet. Many of the men wear Scottish tams. Horace Dodge's yacht, the NOKOMIS, is visible in the background on the right, beneath a cover for the winter. "Detroit Curling Club Guests of H.E. Dodge - Grosse Pt. Jan. 15th 1916," is printed along the bottom of the image. "Photo by Hal Wilson, 650 Mt. Elliott, Detroit," is printed in the lower right corner. The photo was previously framed with each subject numbered from 1 to 40 on the glass, going from the left to the right, however no key was included.
