- Looking down a main unpaved street in Grant, Michigan, with the railroad crossing in the foreground. Buildings in photograph include a bakery, a drug store, a mobil gas station, and a storefront with a man displaying items out in front and dresses can be seen through the window. A sign on the outside stairway of this store reads "Lettinga" which in another photograph (125.R36582) the word Dr. is included, so his Dr. Lettinga's offices were upstairs above the retail store. On the opposite side of the another gas station.

The buildings on the cross street are Kroger Store, Wexford Ice Cream store, a Pool Room witha Coca Cola sign, the post office, and V. C. Munson's grocery.

- Small town bank is including in this picture of the railroad crossing. On the outside of the building is "River Road" and on the window is a sign "----ock Park State Bank," concluding that this may be a picture of Comstock Park. Also includes C. D. Campbell's Lumber Office and Morrissey Farm and Orchard Supply, and the last few letters of the second floor meeting hall, "-----ell's Hall," may be Stovell's or Stowell's Hall.
