Signs are posted around the entrance advertising the film "Old Dutch," and Keystone Cops shorts. The Bud Barker cafe is to left of the theater, and the Park Theatre is to the right. - Cabinet card bearing a circular sepia-toned image of L.L. Farnsworth's shoe store on the corner of Woodward Avenue and Michigan Avenue as taken from the south. A sign posted on the southern face of the building advertises, "boots, shoes, and rubbers." Signs for Marratt's photo studio, and J.L. Hudson's clothing visible on the sides of their respective buildings in the background. Streetcar tracks run along Michigan in the foreground, and numerous pedestrians are in view. The card has a burgundy border with a gold edge. A Kodak mark and a floral pattern are printed on the verso of the card.

A horse carriage is parked at the lower left. Roofs and chimneys of other buildings, as well as ship masts and the Detroit River are visible in the distance beyond this row. - Color photographic postcard a night-time view of the repurposed three-story Second Empire house at 4470 Second Avenue. Mannequins wearing dresses are displayed in the first floor window for a clothing store within. A passage about the former home's new usage is printed on the verso: 4470 Second. Situated on land owned by Lewis Cass, former Michigan Governor, and adjacent to the West Canfield Historic District, and bordering Wayne State University, this colorful Victorian Mansion, built in 1883, now houses shops, apartments and offices, and is part of the Renaissance Movement in Detroit. Also printed on the verso are publishing and printing information, "Pub. & © Allen Strass - Yout Qualified Photographer - Detroit, Mich.", and "Made by Dexter Press, Inc., West Nyack, New York."

Caption reads: WOODWARD AVENUE (east side), in 1899. F.J. Schwanovsky music house at John R. corner. D.D. Spellman photographic studio on second floor. Adjoining was Baron & McBean, mantels, grates and tiles. A.T. Knowlson's next. Also pictured are the storefronts for C.M. Hayes and Company, Photographers, and Jewel Gas Ranges and Gas Heaters. A horse-drawn sleigh and a horse carriage are in the street.

One man, presumably Charles Abbs, stands in the doorway, clad in a white shirt and apron. Another man, wearing a suit and derby stands in front of the doorway holding a cigar. - Sepia-toned photograph taken of the exterior of the saloon belonging to Charles Abbs at 23 Woodward Avenue, as well as the adjacent building containing another saloon belonging to H.W. Mosier, as taken from the east side of Woodward Avenue, south of Atwater Street. Both are decorated for Cadillaqua. Flags and patriotic banners have been hung on the buildings, and a sign reading, "Welcome Cadillaqua Visitors," has been hung from the awning above Mosier's storefront. Part of the J.T. Wing and Company building is visible on the left side of the frame. Several pedestrians are on the sidewalk in front of the businesses. The streets in the foreground are paved with bricks, and contain streetcar rails. "Celebration cadillaqua week." has been typewritten along the top of the photo, and "Father's place of business," has been handwritten in pencil along the bottom edge.

- Black and white photo of the exterior of the Theatre Comique as taken from a slightly elevated position across Broadway Street, facing southwest. A crowd is gathered in the street in front of the theater around an ornate carriage driven by a man wearing a high peaked hat, and carrying a pair of passengers in dress jackets and turbans, as part of a circus parade. A sign on the top of the carriage reads, "India." A Model T is parked in the foreground. Signs on the facade of the Theatre Comique declare, "Best show in town for the money," "Stay as long as you like," and "High class continuous performance." The Kaiserhof is visible on the left side of the theatre. Signs are posted on the building to the right, on the corner of Broadway and Gratiot Avenue for the Fisher Kline Company, photographers; Union Cut Rate Dentists; John Verbist, cigars, tobacco, candy and fruit; and the Gothic bar. Along the north side of Gratiot, Lou H. Weitz, clothier; and the Library Tea Store are visible. "28," is handwritten at the upper right corner of the recto and "1909," is handwritten on the verso.
