- From Woolworth's department store at 200-204, Richman's Clothes at 206 and Linn Camera Shop at 210 are visible. The view also shows the east side of South Washington Avenue for the next several blocks to Arbaugh's at 401-425 South Washington Avenue. City Planning Division staff annotated the photo with "SIGN STUDY South 200-300 EVEN (west side)". Photo appears damaged: dozens of small black circles appear over the area of the sidewalk.

Behind it are seen the Roosevelt Hotel, St. Mary's Cathedral, and Ferris Towers apartments. Partially obstructed to the right is the First Baptist Church. - This collection consists of two boxes of black and white prints and negatives from the Lansing Board of Water and Light, dating from approximately 1930 to 1968. Most are water damaged and not identified. There are hundreds of 3" x 4" negatives, many of which have been water damaged and emulsion is stuck to paper sleeves or other negatives in the sleeve. Many of the photograph prints are early Polaroid Panchromatic Land Roll film (type 42) and are badly curled. Subjects that have been identified include: Dye Water Conditioning Plant Ottawa Street Power Plant Unidentified homes and other residential/undeveloped areas Machinery and structural details Steam line and water main construction in urban and residential areas Construction of pump stations and other utility facilities Due to the condition of this collection, most materials have not been digitized.
