- Lansing Broadcasting Co. building housed several businesses in addition to their WILS-AM radio station: Verra-Kleen Cleaners, and Baucom Barber; all used 407 as their address. Next, the Dura-Chrome Dinette Co. was at 417. Michigan Liquor Control Commission Retail and Wholesale Store was at 417. A&P grocery completed the block at 425. - Photograph of view of North Washington, 200 block, Lansing. There are horses and carts in the brick-paved street. S. H. Knox & Co. sign can be seen in the 100 block, at left. At the corner of Ottawa and Washington, the unfinished Methodist church that became the H. L. Willson harness and buggy shop is visible. At right are the Stahl hardware block and the Usa H. Forester block at the far edge.

- Located on northeast corner of Washington Avenue North and Ottawa Street East. The Senate Grill is on the corner at 200, perhaps out of business at the time of the photo. The entry to Rich's Bar is seen, it was upstairs at #200 1/2. The PX Mart selling general merchandise was at 202 North Washington Avenue. Upstairs in Room 16 of the Dodge building was the F. J. Pliska Music Shop. City Planning Division staff annotated the photo and trimmed it.

- Located on the east side of the 100 block of Washington Avenue North. The Mead Block stood out from surrounding buildings.

- Beginning with the Tussing Building on the right, the Ingham County Building is next. Next is the Lansing Woman's Club building with first-floor occupant First Church of Christ Scientist Reading Room. Michigan Millers Mutual Fire Insurance Company building is next with its first floor occupant, People's Finance Service. The last building in the block was known as the Cahill Building at the time of the photograph. The Cahill Building actually had 200 North Capitol Avenue as its address. - Johnnie's Grill at 224, Plaza Hotel at 222 1/2, Hofbrau Bar at 222, and Granse Dance Studio at 220 North Washington Avenue. City Planning Division staff trimmed the photo. City Planning Division staff trimmed two photographs for assembly into composite views. The images do not match perfectly; gaps have intentionally been left in the composition shown. City Planning Division staff placed sequential numbers at the bottom of each piece: "F30" and "F29".
