On West Michigan Avenue, the Prudden building entrance is 109, Archy's Lounge at 111, Sun Life Assurance Co. of Canada and the House of Beef restaurant at 113 are followed by the Hotel Olds at 125 West Michigan Avenue. - From the period when South Washington Street was used as parking lots from Michigan Avenue to Kalamazoo Street. According to Lansing City Council Proceedings from October 3, 1966, the 100, 200 and 300 blocks of South Washington were to be turned into a Parking Mall starting November 21, 1966. On June 9, 1989, Council ordered that the attended parking operations were to be eliminated.

The Hollister and Prudden buildings are seen in the next block, the 100 South block. City Planning Division staff trimmed and annotated the photo.

- J. C. Penney Company is on the right on the corner. On the left, on the south side of West Kalamazoo is the Ritzee Hamburger No. 2 Restaurant, Larry's Barber Shop and the Clarence H. Rosa Public Library. The trees in the background are part of Reutter Park at South Capitol Avenue and West Kalamazoo Street.
