- Color postcard depicting an elevated view of Campus Martius, facing northeast, with views along Cadillac Square and Monroe Street. In view are many pedestrians, streetcars, the Merrill Fountain decorated with a sign reading "Let's Finish the Job, Buy Victory Bonds", the Detroit Opera House, Soldier' and Sailors' Monument, Wayne County Building, and Cadillac Square Building. Signs read "Velvet" and "Henkel's Flour". Printed on verso: Monroe Avenue, Detroit, Mich. Monroe Avenue is Detroit's Great Amusement thoroughfare. Here are located the Temple, Family, Columbia Royale and National Theatres; also any number of Nickel Shows. The electric display at night is very brilliant and here we follow the crowd in the evening. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked Nov 8, 1920.

In view are the Hammond Building, Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument, City Hall, Dime Building, W Fort Street, and signs reading "Stroh's Bohemian Beer", "Canadian Pacific", and "The AB Gas Ranges". Printed on verso: The view shows the highest and largest Office Building in Michigan. The Dime Bank in rear of City Hall is 23 stories high and contains 1000 offices. The other white building is the Ford and contains 559 offices and is 19 stories high. The Hammond and Penobscot Buildings are at left of City Hall. Handwritten message on verso, dated Dec 10, 1915.

The date of the postcard is based upon the postmark date.
