- St. Paul's Church. Confirmation class of 1908. This photo is displayed in the front hall of the church, with a label identifying the names. This was apparently done long after the fact, since the label includes married names of some of the girls. The label says as follows: "CONFIRMATION CLASS OF 1908 - REV. THEODORE G. - Evan Nelson is riding a "D" model 1925 John Deere tractor, which he restored. The picture was taken on Michigan Avenue during the Saline Fair Parade in September 1976. The metal wheels are covered with rubber.; This tractor was on display at Gross Farm Quipment after Evan restored it. The tractor was bought by Mr. Grossmen when Bob Gross ended his interested in the Gross Farm Equipment - Felkamp Tire Business. Evan Nelson worked over 38 years for Gross Farm Equipment. Mr. Grossman, who now owns the tractor, also had worked for Gross Farm Equipment.
