- Sepia-toned glossy photo of a Detroit Fire Department Packard squad car. The car is parked on a brick driveway near the corner of a building and shows the driver and the left side of the vehicle. The car is right-hand drive since the steering wheel is on the right side. "Engine 30" can be seen on the firemen's helmets that are attached to the horizontal bar at the back of the squad car. The number, "04885," is handwritten in black ink in the lower right corner of the photo. Handwriting on the verso shows "D.F.D., Second Packard squad car taken while in service as old Engine No. 30, then located on east side of Hastings St. between East Larned and Congress Streets, and was quartered with Engine No. 2 in the same station. This unit was delivered Oct. 18, 1910, to the Detroit Fire Dept., was factory serial no. 15957 and dept. no. 215. The squad car was sent to engine 34 (later to become squad 2) in 1912. The unit remained there until March, 1922, when it was placed in reserve service. The squad car was presented to the Detroit Historical Museum in 1934." A blue ink stamp on the verso shows "Spooner & Wells Photograph, 1231 Woodward Ave."
