- Description:
- One postcard announcement concerning an upcoming property sale due to unpaid taxes. The postcard was addressed in handwritten black ink text to "Henry Maybury, 91 Baker St., Detroit." This address was crossed out and replaced with "Pt. Tampa City, Fla.," and a "Forwarded" stamp was placed near the right side of the card. Preprinted text on the verso explained the current tax laws and indicated that the card was sent by "C. M. Burton" of "Burton Abstract of Title." Handwritten text noted that property being advertised for sale due to unpaid taxes was the "S 1/2 Lot 1, Blk [Block] 61, Baker farm." (Presumably, this was the property that was located at 91 Baker Street.)
