- Rochester High School, located on the southeast corner of Fifth (University) and Wilcox Streets. The original building, facing Fourth Street, was built in 1899 and is commonly known as Avon School District #5 School House, the Old Rochester High School building, or Harrison building. This expansion was begun in 1916 and continued into the 1920s. The building currently serves as the Rochester Community School Administration Building. - The Rochester Light & Power Company was incorporated in 1899 and operated until it was absorbed by Detroit Edison in 1909. That same year, Edison constructed this building on the southeast corner of South Main Street and Third Street to operate their business.
