If we expect women to influence--that is, to entreat, to argue, to appeal, to agitate, to petition--why would they have less influence if they back up their appeals by a vote? That would give them more influence. Why ask a woman to know enough about politics to use her influence intelligently, and then deny her the right to express her opinion at the polls?
