On the right is the front of the Men’s Gym (later Vandercook Hall). The Library (later named North Hall) was built in 1924. The Science Building opened in 1915 and later was renamed West Hall. Later, East Campus was known as Historic East Campus.

In the background, wood working equipment hangs from the wall. The student projects were a part of M. Sherwood’s woodworking class, part of the Manual Training curriculum.

- Photograph of East Campus of Western State Normal School from across Oakland Drive. View, looking southeast, features the Administration Building with Gymnasium addition, Science Hall, and the Heating Plant with smokestack. The Administration Building was completed and occupied in 1905. By 1909 two wings were added: the Training School and the Gymnasium. Later, the three buildings were renamed East Hall. The Science Building opened in 1915 and later was renamed West Hall. East Campus renamed in use into the 1950s. It was later known as Historic East Campus.

- Male employee working in the Granualation Center at the Upjohn Company, Kalamazoo. Employee guides ingredients through a pan-feed comminuting machine. A plaque on the front of the equipment identies the machine as a Fitzpatrick Model D comminuting Mill/Pulverizer. The company was originally formed to make friable pills, which were specifically designed to be easily digested. In 1995, Upjohn merged with Pharmacia AB to form Pharmacia & Upjohn, and was later owned by Pfizer.

- Hand drawn and colored architectural drawing on linen showing the first story plan of the Kalamazoo Ladies' Library Association building in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The plan shows the locations of the library, museum, hall, and porch. The scale is 4 feet to 1 inch. Drawing stamped "Henry L. Gay Architect 80 La Salle St., Chicago." The building was constructed in 1879 and is the first clubhouse building constructed by a women's club in the United States. It is located at 333 S. Park Street in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
