A part of the Welsh Civic Auditorium and the top of the Rowe Hotel is barely visible in the background.

The photo is taken from an elevated position across the street, looking east up Monroe and Pearl streets. St. Mark's Church can be seen at the far end of Pearl St., and part of the Hepolsheimers' building on Monroe.
