- Card for the business of G.A. Axford & Bro, George Abraham Axford (1863-1933) and Lee Axford (1875-1929). Their store was located within the Palmer Palace Rink building on the west side of Main Street. According to the card, the Axford's were "dealers in cigars and tobaccos, confectionary, guns and ammunition, bicycles and bicycle sundries, sporting goods of all kinds" and "our specialty the 'Bond' cigar." - West side of [Old] Woodward Avenue in downtown Birmingham, looking north from intersection at Maple. Woodward is unpaved. The image of a biplane has been superimposed on the original photograph to create a novelty postcards. The photographer, Louis James Pesha, was known for these whimsical images. Pesha was a Canadian, who owned Pesha Postcard Company in Marine City, Michigan and was known for his photos of the Great Lakes region. Reference: Buel, G. & Buel, S. (2012) Marine City.
