Description:

Ledger. A ledger book, presumably maintained by the Public Lighting Commission which recorded issues reported with streetlights, maintained from November 1, 1913 to December 14, 1913. The columns appear to record the date, the location of the light, who made the report, a pair of unclear abbreviations, a pair of times, the issue with the light, a name (generally Saunders, occasionally Jones), and when and how they were fixed. The reoccurring entries for the source of the report are "patrol," "police," "citizen," and "lady."
