One postcard with the addressee's name shown in handwritten blue ink on the front, "Miss Madge C. Maybury, Detroit, Michigan, 24th Street one block south of Baker, % Capt. Geo. Burtchell." The message on the verso was handwritten in blue ink by Henry Maybury to his daughter, Madge [Margaret]. It reads "Tampa, 3-16-'87; Dear Madge, We recd. your letter and would answer only for the reason that we would be in D [Detroit] shortly after this postal. We will be in D April 1st or perhaps before, will telegraph Harry from Cincinnati. The weather is cool & delightful and all are well. We feel sorry that business compels us to return so soon. We will stay and bring you some change blossoms & roses. Hope you and brother are well, all are anxious to see you & him. Don't write any more after receiving this. Love to all, Pa."
