This Lounge Chair, in the collection of the Public Museum of Grand Rapids, consists of a steel formed shell with padded black polynit upholstery covering it. The chair sits on three chrome, metal legs. This piece is also commonly known by the nickname 'Coconut Chair'. Early version of chair shell were constructed of metal while later versions had molded fiberglass shells.
