The image shows an interior view of a 2-story power plant building which has two rows of belt-driven dynamos (left) that are being powered by a single row of steam engines (right). Handwritten text on the verso shows "Engine and Dynamo Room, Brush Electric, 1903." This power plant building may be the Foundry Street plant that was originally owned by the Brush Electric Light Company. This power plant was located on the east side of Foundry Street (now Beecher Avenue) just north of the Michigan Central Railroad track crossing.
